Eyes on the ball: Marylove hits the ball like a Pro
Though young, she believes she can challenge the senior Nigeria tennis players. She won a 14 year old opponent, who is two years older than her at the finals of the last CBN Junior Tennis Championship in Nigeria.

Marylove Edwards is taking part in this year’s SNEPCo Junior Tennis Championship which kicked off yesterday 12th October 2015 at the Lagos Lawn Tennis club. She will be playing in the 16s and 18s category. The tournament is part of the ITA Junior Tennis Circuit organized by the International Tennis Academy which is expecting over 150 players

Fearless and confident, Marylove was introduced to tennis by her father (Peter Edwards) like the Williams sisters, and has since been coached by her father.

Based on her performance at the CBN Junior Tennis Championship, Sam Egbuchunam - President of the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club awarded her a lifetime membership of the club. Also the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) sponsored her to a training programme in South Africa based on her outstanding performance while the president of the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF) and NOC president, made a promise on behalf of the NTF to make her a world-class star.

Marylove Edwards is a JSS 1 student of Royal Hall School of Agege
