The Southern Sun Ikoyi Golf Tournament will start on
November 11th with over 70 golfers to vie for honours at the one day event.
According to Mr Mark Loxley - General Manager, Southern Sun
Ikoyi Hotels, who spoke to pressmen over the weekend, this year's edition will
be different in many ways. For instance, the tournament which has attracted
amateur golfers from corporate Nigeria and Semi professional from across the
country and abroad will hold at Lakowe Golf Resorts, Ajah - Lagos unlike the
previous four (4) editions that hled at the Ikoyi Club 1938 Golf course.
More importantly, this year's proceeds would be channeled
towards the welfare of the Arrows of God Orphanage home in Ajah.
Southern Sun will be partnering with SO & U Limited
while Stanbic IBTC, Coscharis and mandallas will be supporting the event in
diverse ways.
Winner of this year’s tournament would enjoy an all expense
paid trip on a business class to Nairobi, Kenya, sponsored by Kenya airways.
There is also going to be the two in one sponsored by Coscharis and Mandallas
“where the golfers would have opportunity to play the ball into two different
holes owned by these car dealers and win the cars given by them.”
