Olurotimi Akinosho, better known by his stage name, Rotimi, is a Nigeria
– American singer songwriter, actor and model. The founder and Chief Executive
Officer (CEO) of FrontRoSeat Productions was born in Maplewood, New Jersey, to
Nigerian parents and attended Columbia High School. He continued his studies at
Northwestern University and graduated with a Communications minor in Business.
Rotimi’s acting career started with the series Boss (2011) and he acted
as a drug dealer with the name Darius Morrison. He later appeared on the CBS
pilot episode, “Cooper & Stone” (2011) and in three reoccurring episodes of
ABC’s Betrayal (2013).

His film debut was Black Nativity (2013). Following this, he started in
Imperial Dreams (2014) which won the “Best of NEXT” award. Due to the high
growth generated, I consider Divergent (2014) as his most successful.
Recently, he was
added to the cast of Starz TV series Power as a series regular, in the role of “Dre”,
the quick-tempered young protégé of Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s character. His
recent cast is on Battle Creek (2015).
