UK Royal Navy is helping to train the Nigerian Navy to put out fires of the coast of Nigeria, and fight maritime crimes (shipping of contraband, sea robbery, kidnap etc).
Though Nigeria has increased is coastal patrol capability, the joint force via training would further help reduce maritime crime rate.
